About Me
AM (MSW), LICSW
she/her
I am a clinical social worker and psychotherapist who provides therapy for individuals ages 16+ in WA state.
As a human and a therapist, I value warmth, humor and transparency. I bring my full, authentic self to our sessions and believe in the power of relationships in the process of healing.
I am committed to co-creating a space that feels safe and supportive in helping you process challenging emotions, situations and relationships.
I am here to offer you a safe space to experience your full emotions, self and grief without needing to worry about taking care of someone else.
My Background
Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked for 7 years in pediatric hospitals as an oncology social worker and a palliative care social worker. In these roles, I found that families needed both someone who understood the unique medical piece of their experience and someone who could hold the complicated emotions that come from a medical journey. My passion for helping parents/caregivers through some of the most challenging days of their lives has led me to move into individual therapy.
Outside of my therapy practice, I enjoy spending time with my family, my two (VERY) active dogs, my cat (Momo - who will make guest appearances in our sessions), gardening (both indoor and outdoor), baking, cooking, and yoga.
